How to Rotate Text in Microsoft Visio in 2022?

In this article, we will learn how we can rotate text in Microsoft Visio. It's a very important factor to rotate text in Visio. Sometimes we are working with flowcharts, org charts, network diagrams, or any other diagram in Visio then we have to rotate the text in it. Then we realize the importance of the rotated text in the Visio.

First of all, we have to insert text in Visio after inserting text we will rotate text in Visio. Now we will insert text to our Visio document. As we know that text is very important to convey messages in language. As we know that we mostly design networks, flowcharts, software, education, business, database, and floor plans.

In the Home tab > Tools. In tools, we can see "Text tool"

When we will select the Text tool then our cursor sign changes something page with the plus sign it shows that now the text tool is selected. After selecting the text tool just click and draw your cursor where you want to insert the text box.

When we will click and drag our cursor then we will see the following result before leaving our cursor.

we can see that dotted lines are appearing on the selected area of our Visio document. When we will leave our cursor then our text box will zoom in.

Our text will start from Left-to-Right, Align Middle, and Align Centre. These are the properties of our text for the current position.

After inserting text we can see the output. Also, we can see that our text is aligned center and aligned middle. In the align-center, we can see there is a gap from the right side as well as from the left side of our text box with respect to its boundary.

Align Right: In this case, our text starts from the right side. In right align text is aligned from the right-hand side but there will be space from the right-hand side. As we can see in the following example.

Align Left: In this case, our text starts from the left side. In left align text is aligned from the left-hand side but there will be space from the right-hand side. As we can see in the following example.

In this way, we can insert text in Visio draw and then align them according to our desired alignment position.

Now we will rotate the text in Visio.

First of all, we have to select the text for which we want to rotate it. Then we will move to the Paragraph group.

When we move our mouse cursor to rotate the tool then it's said that Rotate text to the right at 90 degrees.

Now, we can see that our text starts from left to right (horizontal position). 

When we rotate it then we will see what happens with the text after rotation in Visio.

As we can see that our text is rotated and the text start from the bottom to the top.

Now we rotate one more time then we will see what happens with it.

Now, we rotate once more time then we see what happens with the text in Visio.
