First of all, I would like to tell you about Lucidchart. Lucidchart is an e-diagramming online tool that helps us design flowcharts, organizational charts, network diagrams, and many more.

, it supports Microsft Visio files. If you want to open the Visio file in the Lucidchart chart, it's straightforward and helpful to open, view, and edit the Visio diagram in Lucidchart and vice versa.

In this article, we will go through two different examples. We will import the Visio file into the Free Lucidchart account in the first example. We will import the Visio file into the Paid Lucidchart account in another one.

If you have a free Lucidchart account, only you can view your Microsoft Visio document. On the other hand, if you have a paid Lucidchart account, you can edit, share, and do everything you want in the Visio document you have imported into the Lucidchart paid account.

Why do we open Visio in Lucidchart? Sometimes, we need to install Visio on our computer, and then we want to see Visio. That is why we import Visio into Lucidchart.

Let's Get Started:

The first step is to open Lucidchart to sign up or log in. As you can see in the following screenshot.

There are two ways to go with the Lucidchart.

After the login, as we can see, we will be in our account in Lucidchart.

To import the Visio file in Lucidchart, go to the new one, as seen in the following screenshot.

Then click on the New button, and a menu will open, as we can see.

After clicking on the New > Lucidchart > Import > Visio.

Then, we must select the file we import into Lucidchart.

Then select the Choose file, then you have to select the file from where the file is located.

My file is named "Company Sales Process." Select it and go to the import.

As you can see, your file is currently available there. Then, you have to hit the Import button, and it will start importing in Lucidchart.

After importing it, our file will start to import to Lucidchart, as we can see. Now we can see the "View Document".

Now, hit on the View Document link, and finally, our document will be imported into Lucidhcart in a new tab, as shown in the following screenshot.

Finally, we are in the Lucidchart document. As we can see, Lucidchartt is a free trial account, and we can comment and share. We can't make changes to our Lucidchart.

In the paid version, you can edit, share, and do everything you want. In this way, we can import the Visio file into lucidchart.
