how to auto connect shapes in Visio?

If we talk about auto-connect shapes in Visio is helpful. While creating auto connect its save our time and quickly fix connector with the help of the auto connector.

If you are working with the Microsoft Visio and connector lines between these shapes are used to connect the shapes to each another with a specific purpose.

Also, we use connectors while designing our flowcharts, organizational Charts, and network diagram as well if you are designing these in Microsoft Visio or if you are using any other software as well.

Before starting with the shapes we have to turn on the Auto-Connect option. For this, we have to go to View > Visual Aids > Auto-Connect.

You must check the box so that your AutoConnect option will remain visible. So that you can insert the shapes and then automatically connect them to each other easily and smoothly in Microsoft Visio.

Now we have to select the Basic Shapes for Basic shapes you have to go to More Shapes > General > Basic Shapes.

After selecting the basic shapes we will see that all basic shapes will appear on the left-hand side as we can see in the following screenshot. Basic shapes appear on the left-hand side in the Shape pane.

Select any shape from the Basic shape then place it on the artboard in the Visio. As we can see that we are going to insert he Rectangle on the page.

You have to select the shape and move your cursor to the shape then you will see that there are four arrows from left, right, top, and bottom.

If you want to insert the shapes to the right and then move them to the right then you will see that there are four shapes appearing in that direction.

There are four shapes. The first one is a rectangle, square, circle, and ellipse. As we have inserted the rectangle then we will move our cursor to the square and then select it then we will see that the automatic rectangle will be connected to the square as we can see in the following screenshot.

Similarly, repeat the option then select the circle and ellipse as we can see the result in the following screenshot.

In this way, we can insert auto-connect the shapes to each other in Microsoft Visio.
