How to Insert World Map in Visio?

In this article, we will learn how we can insert a world map in Visio. World maps make our flowcharts, org chart, network diagram, or any other type of workflow more professional and modern.

We can insert a world map as a picture in Visio also there is another method that we can insert a world map as a background then draw our flowchart, organizational chart on the top of the world map in Visio.

We can insert a picture of the world map with the help of the insert menu. 

Let's Get Started:

First of all open Visio then go to the insert tab. In the insert tab, there is an option for the insert. Expand the Insert option then there we will see two different options.

1. Pictures
2. Online Picture

If we want to insert the picture from your PC then start with the first option. If you want to insert an online picture then you can go with the second option.

Click on the Online Picture then a new tab will be open as we can see in the following screenshot.

As we can see that there are Online Pictures then we will just simply type "World Map" then we will see that the following result will be shown after searching the world map.

As you can see that there are a lot of world maps are there in the result. You can select any one of them then just hit on the Insert button then within a few seconds world map will be inserted in the Visio document as we can see in the bellow result.

As we can see that the picture of the world map is inserted and this is so colorful we can't draw our drag on it.

Now we are going to insert a world map in Visio as a background. For this we have to go with the Design tab then Background. 

When we will click on the background a menu will be open as we can see in the following screenshot.

As we can see there is no background at this time we can select any color for our background and at the end, there is an option for the world map. Just click on the world map then we will see that our world map will be inserted in the background in Visio.

We can see that our world map is inserted without any text and we can make it lighter with the help of the Design tab if we will select the light color from the design tab then it will convert into a lighter color.

Now, we can draw our org chart, network diagram, and flowcharts on the top of the world map. If we have already created an org chart, network diagram, and flowchart insert our world map in the background as well.
