How to Design Mind Map in Visio?

How I can design a mindmap in Visio. A mindmap is very important to understand the process that I will create in Visio. Also, you can design a mindmap from the templates or you can use a blank page with continuing with the shapes by using as brainstorming diagrams for designing the mindmap in Visio. 

Visio helps in designing brainstorming diagrams and also mind mapping is the type of brainstorming diagram. We can develop and design mind mapping with the help of Visio. When we create a mind map diagram in Visio, then we can easily see a clear idea to understand the diagram that we have designed in Visio.

In other words, we can say that Brainstorming diagrams are provided by Microsoft Corporation. With the help of brainstorming diagrams (graphical representations of thought processes) for planning, problem-solving, decision making, and brainstorming.

In this article, we will design a mindmap in two different ways.

  1. Mind Map template
  2. Shapes (By introducing Brainstorming  Diagram in the Shape Tab.)
If we want to use pre-design templates then we will go with this step. 
In the New tab > Brainstorming Diagram.

Then click on Brainstorming Diagram then we will see that there is one blank mind map page and in the other two predefined templates.
Also, there are two units for Mind Map in Visio.
  1. Metric Units
  2. US Units

If I want to go with a blank page along with mind map shapes then we can go with it. If you want to go with any templates then you can go with it and edit your mind map like edit your own information.
When you will click on the Blank page then you will that.
Default name appears on the top "Drawing1 - Visio Professional". While mind map diagrams are shown in the "Shapes" on the left side as we can see it.


When you will click on the pre-design template then you will see that.

If you have a good grip on Visio then you can go with a blank page along with a mind map diagram.
