How to Add Text to Shapes in Visio?

In this article, we will add text to shape Visio. When we are working with a flowchart, network diagram and we want to insert text on shapes then there are two ways to add text in Visio. 

There are two ways to insert text on shapes.

Step1

a. First of all we have to insert shapes from the shapes tab on the left-hand side in Visio. Just click and drag from the Shapes pane to the artwork.

After inserting the shape on the artboard then we can see that.

b. In the Home tab then Tools. We can see this in Tools. There is a "Text Block" then select Text Block.

Where we want to insert a text box then we will click and drag according to our dimension. After selecting the text box the cursor will blink within the text box and show us write down text what we want to write. In this case, we are going to work on signal shape.

After inserting the first text box that shows a temporary white background and cursor on it show that add text to the shape and we can see that we have inserted this text box on the top of the shape. We are going to add text to it.

As we can see the first text box is inserted. We can format it like we can change the colour scheme also align it according to our own requirements.

In this way we can add text to the shapes in Visio also we can rotate the text box vertically, as well as horizontally in Visio.

Step2

In this step, we will insert text after it doubles click on it and the whole shape will be turned into a white background and the cursor will blink that show us write something on it.

Write text on it.

In this way, we can write text on shapes in Visio also format it and align it.
