How to insert straight line in Visio?

 In this tutorial, we will discuss how we will insert straight lines in Visio (Microsoft Visio).

After opening Microsoft Visio then we will move the "Tools" pane then we will click on a small arrow to show more shapes as we can see in the following image.

After selecting the line tool then click and drag according to your desire length in any direction.

If you want to insert a straight line in the Horizontal or Vertical direction then we press the shift key then click and drag in the Horizontal direction or Vertical direction.

In this way, we can draw the Horizontal line as well as the Vertical line with the help of the Tool pane.

Sometimes we hardly need to draw a line in any direction then we use the line tool from the tool pane. We can draw the line with the help of a connector but the connector required paint to join the line.
