How Dynamic Grid Work in Microsoft Visio?

In this article, we will talk about the Dynamic Grid in Microsoft Visio. As mostly we use shapes to represent our data in the form of the flowchart, and organization charts as well.

Sometimes we design simple flowcharts and sometimes complex ones as well. Then we have to arrange, align, resize, and insert specific spaces between shapes that we have to follow something so that we can adjust all things with the help of one tool that is Dynamic Grid in Microsoft Visio.

If you are working in Microsoft Visio and you have to turn on the Dynamic Grids so that you can easily resize, align, and add proper spacing within the shapes.

First of all, we have to turn on our Dynamic Grid so that we can easily resize, add proper spacing, and fix alignment within the shapes in our Visio document.

For turning on our Dynamic Grid we have to go to the View tab > Visual Aids > Dynamic Grids.
To show dynamic grids you have to check the dynamic grids group.

As we can see that Dynamic Grids are on then we have to insert the shapes then we will see that how dynamic grids works.

Now I am going to inserts few shapes in Visio then we will see that how we can resize, along, and add spacing in Microsoft Visio.

In the above screenshot we can see that both shapes are same in size (Horizontally as well as Vertically). There are two lines for hight size and two are for width size along with arrowhead on them.

Also you will see the doted line these lines show that these shapes are align to each another. Also we have see the two options for alignment and resizing with the help of the Dynamic Grids in Visio.

These Green lines represent the Dynamic grids. Now we have to show the same spacing in shapes.  As we can see in the following images there are same spacing in each diagram.

Conclusion

With the help of the dynamic grid guides assist in the sizing, spacing and alignment of shapes in relation ot one another.

While working with the Microsoft Visio drawing then we have to turn on the Dynamic Grids so that we can easily manage thing easily and quickly.
