How to Start with Blank Page in Microsoft Visio?

In this article, we are going to start our flowcharts, organizational chart, and network diagram with the help of the blank page. Then we will start these types of the diagram with the help of the Shape that will be introduced in a shape pane in Microsoft Visio.

We will search from the start menu of our computer then type "Visio" then will icon will appear on the top of the searches.

Then we will double click on the Visio icon then will document will be open.

Now, we can see a lot of pre-designed templates, and on the bottom, we can see the list that we have already opened. Also, there is a pinned option if we will select any one document from the recent list then pinned it then it will remain on the top.

As we can see that there is a "Blank Drawing" then we will click on the blank drawing then a dialog box appears for "Blank Drawing" with Units.

We are going with the "US Units". Let's Get Started:

we can see that there is a blank page open and we can see that on the top "Drawing1" file name and along with we can see "Visio Professional" I am using Visio Professional. 

On the left-hand side we can see the "Shape" for now there is noting if we want to bring shapes in our shape pane then we can click on the "More Shapes" then a long list appear as compared to the shapes that we are looking for.

As we can see that there is a subcategory related to each category. For now we are going with the "Flowchart" then a long list appear related to the flowchart in Microsoft Visio.

In the subcategory we can see "Basic Flowchart Shapes". Now we are going to click on the basic flowchart shapes then these shapes appear in the Shapes Pane in Microsoft Visio.

As you can see that the shapes are black and white if you are not happy with the color of the shapes then you can go in the design tab then you will see the different color that you want to be.

As in the design tab we can see the black and white shapes are selected. Now we are going to select the any other color then we can see that how it looks like.

Now we can start designing our flowchart in Visio with the help of the basic shapes that we have introduce our process.

In this way, we can start from the blank page and introduce shapes in Visio and go ahead.
