How to show and hide Shapes Window in Microsoft Visio?

In this article, I will talk about the shape windows in ms Visio. Sometimes you are working with Visio and our shape window don't appear then you have to find out shape window so that you can use shapes for your flowchart, organizational chart, and network diagram because shapes are so important without shapes you can't do anything with your flowchart, organizational chart, and network diagram.

Let's get started:

I will show you how you can show and hide your shapes Window in Visio. As you know that without shapes we can't do anything to our flowchart.

In the above image, you can see that there is no shapes window. Now I will share a picture in which you can see the shapes window in Microsoft Visio.

Now, I will share all steps that you can easily show and hide shapes window in ms Visio.

In the first step, if our shapes window disappears from our Visio document then you have to bring it on the Visio document so that with the help of the shapes window you can insert shapes, stencils for your flowchart, or any other purpose.

In the View tab then in the show group, you can see Task Panes. 

When you will expand these Task Panes then you will see a few options.

In the Task Panes.

1. Shapes
2. Shope Data
3. Pan & Zoom
4. Size & Position
5. Navigation

In this task pane we can see Shapes. When you have to show the shapes window in Visio then just click on these shapes. Then the shapes window will appear on the Visio document.

After clicking on the shapes in the task panes then we can see that the dashboard of our Visio document is changed as we can see in the following screenshot.

As we can see that now shapes window appears on our Visio document. If we want to hide it we just go to the View tab then show group then in Task page then click on the shapes then our shapes window will disappear.

For now, our shapes window is on the left-hand side. Also, we can shift it from left to right.

As we can see that our shapes window is shifted from the left-hand to the right-hand side. Sometimes we are not comfortable on the left-hand side then we can shift it from the left-hand side to the right-hand side and vice versa.
