How to Align Shapes in Visio?

In this article, we will align shapes in Visio. Alignment is very important for proper adjustment in our document. When we insert different shapes in the document then they look awkward without any adjustment. When we use alignment within our document then that looks more professional and attractive for the reader as well as for the user to understand the document in Visio.

In the Home tab then Arrange. In Arrange Group we will find out Align. There are seven types of alignment in Visio. We will discuss all these alignments steps by step so that we can use alignment shapes in Visio.

Align shapes

1. Auto-Align
2. Align Left
3. Align Right
4. Align Top
5. Align Middle
6. Align Bottom

We can see how images will align along with images after alignment that is why they use the result according to your requirement.

Auto-Align.

When we apply auto-align then nothing appears different in the above flowchart that contains four different shapes.

We are going to insert these shapes on the watch other then we will apply auto-align then we will see what happens with auto-align.

Now, we will select these four shapes then we will apply auto-align on them then we will see result what happens with these shapes in Visio after applying auto-align.

Now, we can see that we insert few shapes in Visio few of them are spread on all pages and a few of them are lies on each other. After applying alignment on them then we see that shapes are spread on all page remains the same and the shapes lie on each on other spread in a well manage the way in Visio. We can insert shapes according to our requirement then we can apply alignment after that we can see a few results and we can apply more alignment in our flowcharts, organization chart, network diagram, and floor plan in Visio.

Align Left

we are going to apply to align left to our flowchart in which we have inserted for different shapes.

we can see that all shapes are aligned left side in our Visio document. 

Align Right

we are going to apply to align right to our flowchart in which we have inserted for different shapes.

we can see that all shapes are aligned right side in our Visio document. 

Align Center

we are going to apply to align center to our flowchart in which we have inserted for different shapes.

we can see that all shapes are aligned center in our Visio document. 

Similarly, we will go through with aligning top, align bottom, and align the middle of our Visio document.
